When Quality and Consistency Are a Concern
Millbrook Breeding Labs has been a producer of laboratory rabbits since 1981. Our operation consists of six breeding buildings that are purposely located on five separate sites. Our NZW-SPF rabbit health status is routinely monitored and our rabbits are free of all major pathogens, including those that could interfere with any long-term studies. We only raise SPF rabbits so there is no possibility of cross species contamination.
Facility
Each of the six buildings is of barrier design, is isolated from one another and is separately staffed. All rabbits are on automatic watering and are fed a pelleted hi-fiber diet. Each building has 10-15 air changes per hour, with a controlled 14/10 light cycle.
Shipping
All of our rabbits are transported in one-way disposable filter cartons. Except for air shipments, all of our rabbits are delivered in a Millbrook climate controlled truck using our own drivers. We only transport SPF rabbits so there is no possibility of cross species contamination.
